Are you on the subscription that's the tier above entry level? It's a little more expensive but back when I first got the game I didn't realise that I was on the slightly more expensive standard subscription! I think the only difference is that you can create multiple characters for the same world or something, rather than being able to create one character per world. (I used the extra to get a third retainer since it meant no change in price but I was able to store more items :D)
Luckily, when it was time to start paying for a subscription, I looked up the tiers and was able to select the cheapest one before I got charged. I only feel the need to play as one character atm hahaha. (And as nice as the extra inventory space would be, Iβm going to hold out on paying as little money per month as I can hahaha;;;)
