@inquisitriice cont. from Arik being grumpy
Arik had dealt with enough looks from the likes of the Seeker, the elven apostate, and a few others at Skyhold. He knew damn well the Wardens had messed up, let fear take control instead of thinking. He supposed some people blamed him; being the Warden-Commander of Ferelden after the Hero left on some crazy mission.
“Yeah, I’m staying,” he said tersely, glaring across the courtyard at a few of the mentioned people. “And if they’re not comfortable, we can deal with that in the sparring ring.”
He raised a brow at her mention of his attitude, looking up at her.
“Most people don’t call it carefree,” he stated plainly. “But I’m glad to be of some assistance. Corypheus was the Wardens’ mistake. We locked him up instead of finding a way to kill him and kill him efficiently, if what I’ve heard the dwarf say is true.” He glanced back at the people in the courtyard, thinking. “It’s our duty to deal with Darkspawn and we let that one slip through our fingers.”
