Inking the background 

For inking the background I bought a sheet of translucent paper from Eckersley’s then just marked the 20x20 size with a water resistant permanent marker. Next i just mix the ink, roll it out to get a velvet consistency and then roll it onto the sheet. Then i place the 20x20 piece of paper in the marked square and put it through the press.
