hearing chuuya’s name is surprising, though. at least kiko makes sense - he knows kiko and daichi go out for lunch together sometimes, and they are coworkers, so it’s a fairly obvious match, but chuuya? that’s... well, he supposes it makes sense, provided chuuya doesn’t blame daichi at all for dazai having left. which it seems he must not, or else daichi wouldn’t be hanging around him. “... i see. but yes, i want you around - i just don’t want you to think i’m forcing you to always stay by my side or something. you’re free to come and go as you please, but i do notice when you’re gone, and i would like to spend more time with you, if you want that.”

in all honesty, she’s just glad she didn’t get nullified, even if she’s not exactly sure why that is - best not dwell on it and instead focus simply on putting as much distance between them as she can.

regrettably, but he won’t say that right now. not while daichi is caught in anxiety caused by a nightmare about not having been able to stop dazai.
