Thoughts on Caspar/Ashe, Manuela/Hanneman and Felix/Ingrid?
Ashepar: Okay, listen. If you end up adopting a cat together and then go travelling the world together, you're soulmates. Hands down. That cat CHOSE them. I am a firm believer in the romantic courting rituals of "our adopted pet cat".
Manuella/Hanneman: Okay, so you know that one post talking about the couple who fights via research papers and constantly sarcastically lambasting each other via academia? I feel like these two when married is like this. They love each other, but they have a 57 slide power point presentation prepared to explain why the other is wrong over the differences between cream and ecru and which is better for a dinner party. I find it precious.
Felix/Ingrid: Okay, so I'm not the biggest fan of most Ingrid ships (no offense to Ingrid, I just think the writing team didn't think her storylines through very well compared to Fodlan at large). But rewatching their supports, I have a newfound appreciation for them. It's clear they're a lot alike when it comes to their beliefs and ideals. It's just that they're both at different stages of their grief and disillusionment of the idea of knighthood and chivalry. While neither moved on from Glenn, Felix is currently between anger and acceptance (having completely skipped over bargaining based on some of his responses), while Ingrid is still in the depression stage, but continually growing into acceptance. Eventually, they manage to find common ground, and this is ESPECIALLY well handled in their Hopes supports. I think I prefer Hopes Inglix over Houses, but I have a newfound appreciation for it in general.
