Role Requirements:

Ability to perform logic analysis in detail.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to perform business intelligence/performance metrics, with a concentration of knowledge with financial data analysis and mining are mandatory.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Relational Database, SQL, knowledge/experience.

Administrative and management of both production and test SQL database environments.

Address issues arising from system event and error logs.

Proficient in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and functions.

Experience in capacity planning and trend analysis.

AX experience preferred but not required.

Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.

Work with Subject Matter Experts to help identify issues and to refine requirements.

Monitor and, if necessary, modify the SSIS packages and jobs which move data from AX into the data warehouse.

Perform basic troubleshooting and support tasks for Targit BI tool (i.e., navigation, answering basic questions about the information, etc.)

Monitor commission jobs, support sales tax audits.

Familiarity to Monitor Sales Apex jobs; send the data to Apex via FTP daily; manually run month-end Apex data load jobs and transmit the data.

Reconcile Apex against the general ledger and troubleshoot issues.

Modify Apex data load programs as needed.

Work with the Apex team to correct problems with the data in their system.

Support Apex tool. Set up and maintain users, and perform allocation tasks.

Pull in-depth analysis information from Apex to explain information as needed to analysts and/or end-users.

Maintain SSRS reports and provide end-user support in Reporting Services.

Pull and help analyze data from throughout the systems and help executive team and financial analysis group to utilize it

Work with end users throughout the organization to develop business requirements for information and report requests.

Perform SQL updates and prepare data for uploading into AX as required (i.e., customer order charge mass updates and data loads, tax exemption updates, sales rep assignment changes, etc.)

Extensive experience with T-SQL stored procedures and SSRS.

Extensive experience with SQL 2005 and 2008.

Troubleshoot and modify sales rep goals and provide information for backup, especially at year-end and somewhat at the end of each quarter

Help develop algorithms for new business processes and initiatives; past examples have included the bank borrowing base, our Sales Apex project, the price optimization process and the work that has been done to date on customer retention.

Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment working with our executive team as well as departmental managers.
