My honest take: I never expected Infold to go even further. Until now, we’ve had a lot of teasing... especially with Misty Invasion, and later the tension exploding in Nightly Rendezvous. Even in AUs as Throne of Eros, we had a lot of that intimacy happening. For a "mid" card moment, it was super refreshing.
