NU’EST W Drops Prologue Clip, Signals Start of New Era

After the announcement of their imminent comeback, Pledis finally released the first video teaser. Titled ‘Prologue Clip’, the eerie looking teaser has a young queen looking through the glass of an ornate piece. The clip has sparked heated discussions within the fandom for it’s seeming similar vibes to Overcome and Where You At.

NU’EST W New Album to Have 2 Versions - WHO & YOU

Much like the previous release W.HERE, NU'EST W's new release contains 2 versions, with 4 different CD, Photocard and Selfie Photocard per version. The biggest difference lies in the poster, where there are 8 A2 posters to be given out at random. The albums are available for pre-order since 12 June, from major music sites like Synnara, Hottracks, Yes2 and Gmarket.

NU’EST W ‘WHO YOU’ Tracklist Revealed, Baekho Participated in Composition and Lyrics of Title ‘Dejavu’ 

Following suit, the tracklist of the new album has been release. With a total of 6 tracks including title ‘Dejavu’, it was revealed that Baekho and JR were largely at the helm of participation in lyrics and composition. Familiar names such as Royal Dive, Bumzu and PRISMFILTER crew was also spotted, and fans are excited to see how the new collaborations with these musicians would work out.

It was also revealed that NU’EST W will be trying out Latin Pop genre for the first time in their title tracks, further raising anticipation.

NU’EST W Confirms Attendance on Weekly Idol

The first group variety appearance has been confirmed! NU’EST W will be recording for Weekly Idol soon as Weekly Idol has put out a notice inviting fans to call in and send their special requests. No word on when the recording nor broadcast takes place, but NNL will keep you posted!

L.O.V.Es Rejoice, NU’EST to Broadcast Showcase Live on V-App

More good news, as NU'EST W will be having a showcase for their comeback album on the 25th at 8PM KST, in Olympic Hall in Olympic Park. Fans who preordered the albums respectively on the different platforms will have a chance to win a showcase ticket. A Total of 1500 tickets would be given out this way.

Unable to make it? No worries! The showcase would be live on NAVER V-live, so you can also catch it in the comforts of your own home.

NU’EST W Surprises With Mysterious Photo Teasers

After the reveal of the tracklist, NU’EST W released the mysterious teaser images for WHO. Fans quickly catch on to reveal that the rooms are eerily alike the rooms the boys were in Where You At, raising much interest in the fandom as to how the storyline would continue.

The reveal was followed by the posting of Official Photos 1 and Official Photos 2. It was not mentioned whether they are WHO & YOU concepts respectively, and thus assumed to be both under the ‘WHO’ album design. 

In Official Photos 1, the boys were decked out in Dior suits, showing a mature, luxurious image. On the other hand, Official Photos 2 put out a charismatic, wild allure with the muted colors.

More Special Promotions With WHO Box Tour

Pledis is running a special promotional campaign 'WHO Box Tour' featuring a secret treasure map for fans. Decoding the coordinates will yield you Digital Media City, Hapjeong, Korea University and Olympic Stadium locations, each with a special NU'EST W memory. Fans are predicting that the special promotion would be akin to label mate Pristin V's giveaway, were staffers dressed as villians to hand out flyer-posters.

NU'EST W to Grace Covers of Singles Magazine

That’s right, this summer in Seoul, NU’EST W will grace the covers of Singles Magazine July 2018. Seems like the full promotions is kicking in and L.O.V.Es can keep a close lookout for more activities coming very soon!

Good news, good news and more good news! Despite 'If You' not being a promotional single, NU'EST W will grace the stage on this week's Mnet M!countdown (17 Aug) to perform 'If You' and 'Hello'. 

The special stage was decided upon after overwhelming responses have been seen with the good rankings of 'If You' and the rise of their old track 'Hello'; the meaningful stage is set to convey the member’s gratitude to the support, especially with the good news of L.O.V.Es raising a total of 6,348,000 KRW as a donation to 'comfort women'.

That’s not all - fans can also catch a glimpse of NU’EST W as a group as they boys are noted to have participated in MBC Weekly Idol’s Pledis Special, alongside labelmates Raina (After School/Orange Caramel), Han Donggeun and Pristin. 

In related news, the boys’ upcoming fanmeet ‘L.O.Λ.E & DREAM‘ to be held on the 26th and 27th were sold out in less than three minutes.

Seems like NU’EST’s schedule is getting more and more packed by the day - are you excited for their special stage?

NU’EST JR (Kim Jonghyun) is slated to join Lee Hongki, Jung Hyungdon, Lee Soogeun and Park Sungkwang for JTBC’s brand new variety show, ‘Night Goblin’ (tentative translated title) as a member of the fixed cast! The program is headed by former MBC PD of ‘I Lived Alone’, Lee Jisun.

'Night Goblin' is a program where the cast members vie for the '1st place'. To attain 'first' in the 2nd day, the individual members are allowed to use all sorts of methods at any one spot, and is a program that have them staying the night. This marks the first time comedians Jung Hyungdon, Park Soogeun and Lee Sungkwang come together in the same variety, and eyes are peeled on singers Lee Hongki and NU'EST's JR on the variety show. The little episodes and laugh that arises from combating sleepiness as they embark on their mission will no doubt be the highlight point of the show.

In regards to the youngest cast member JR, Lee Jisun PD mentioned that he showed his caring and leadership qualities; while the hyung on the program were being reckless, JR showed his hyung-like sides - perhaps, we too would see the return of the Nation’s Leader image once more?

The program will premiere on 30th July at 6:30PM KST, and while JR’s appearance only starts from the 2nd episode on the 6th Aug, the member did not forget to ask fans to tune into the premiere where his precious hoobae, Seungkwan of Seventeen is guesting.

[MBN Star Kim Solji Reporter] Group Wanna One will appear on KBS2 ‘Happy Together 3’. 'Happy Together 3′ revealed to MBN Star this afternoon, 24th Jul, that “Wanna One members Kang Daniel, Yoon Jisung, Hwang Minhyun, Ong Seongwoo, Park Jihoon will participate in ‘Happy Together 3′s recording on the 28th”. Following, they added, “it is scheduled for broadcast over two weeks on 3rd, 10th August”. Wanna One is a project group formed through Mnet ‘Produce 101 Season 2’. Ahead of their upcoming debut into the music industry on 7th August, excitement and anticipation is high as they will show their faces on a variety show for the first time through ‘Happy Together 3′.

NU’EST Ren is scheduled to be on JTBC2′s Yang Se Chan’s Ten 2′ in the ‘Inboxing’ corner, where he is said to showcase a different side of him from Produce 101. This marks a NU’EST member’s first appearance on a TV show after the end of the survival show.

Yang Se Chan's Ten 2 is a life-friendly ranking show that aims to solve the problems of your daily lives and release said frustrations. The show is hosted by comedian Yang Sechan, and Cross Gene's Takuya and Shin.

Due to positive reactions, the programme's PD Hong Siyoung has uploaded behind-the-scenes photos to thank the fans for their interests. L.O.V.Es can head on over to his public insta account to send some hearts on the photos as well.

The filming took place on 29th June and is expected to air on 3rd August.

NU’EST will have their first post-recording* session for their comeback stage for MBC Music Core this coming Saturday, two days before the official release of 5th mini album CANVAS. 

Like every other music recording, filming and photo-taking on site is not allowed, especially to protect CANVAS’ titles from being leaked prior to the actual album release. Please bring along your Q is. album as well as other required items (i.e slogan, bracelets during on-site attendance check); for more information, visit the fancafe here.

Application ends on the 26th (tomorrow), so those in Korea seeking to join in on the pre-recording for a first glimpse, do apply as soon as possible.

It is to note that the recording takes place in the evening while the show goes on air in the afternoon, the broadcast should take place in the following week on 3rd September.

*post-recording means a recording that takes place after the show, a pre-recording means a recording that takes place before the show, and live-recording means live audience on the ongoing show. While in this case it seems more like a pre-recording for the following week, it is simply stated and translated from the official Korean notice.

NU’EST is spotted filming for presumably, MBC Chuseok Special, ‘Idol Cooking King’ yesterday as a video surfaced on SNS, alongside other idols like GFriend and BTS.

The boys are spotted in the back row with the new hair colors as seen on the teasers, with lighter hair on Ren and Minhyun and bluish-grey on JR, and dark hair for Baekho and Aron. 

Idol Cooking King seems to be a large-scale cooking contest, and it produced by the PD of ‘I Lived Alone’, Lee Jihyun; it is unknown if all members will participate in the program. No date is given as to when the episode will officially air, but since Chuseok falls on 14 to 16 Sep this year, fans can be sure to check it out when the time draws near. 

Meanwhile, NU’EST is gearing up for their 5th mini album, CANVAS.
