#inflora

I think I wrote everything I needed to in the forward, but for a few months, I've been struggling with this comic. Working on comics is a huge passion of mine, and I was cutting away at a lot that I wanted to do in favor of the webcomic update format.

I felt a need to make sure there was something substantial in every update, for how long everyone needed to wait for that. Putting something important in five pages is not enough, rushed, and sloppy. There's much more I wanted to do with paneling and pacing.

I also reflected on where the story would even go, and what character drive there would be. A lot of my writing amounts to eventually going back for a second read for  an entirely new experience for what was there, but not seen, the first time.

When I feel like coming back to Inflora, I'll be coming in with a new format and new stories to tell. Characters have been fun in concept with their relation to actual plants, but I did not have a strong story to keep characters together. Their individual stories would be better.

I already have another on the way, with teasers sprinkled here on twitter and tumblr already. I don't know when I'll post publicly, but Patreon patrons will certainly see!
