   Poor thing.
   Itâs like...being surrounded by sheer blackness and getting a sense that itâs something you canât escape from. And, given NiGHTS loathes being confined in any way, thatâs probably not a fun feeling.
   And, in addition to that, looking at the pages following NiGHTS being trapped in the Ideya Palace and Elliot approaching them, itâs pretty obvious that theyâre panicking.
   Like, they canât even properly explain to Elliot how Dualizing works because theyâre just desperate to get out.
   Theyâre shouting at him in a âlouder and louderâ voice, and when he doesnât immediately figure out what heâs supposed to do and help them, they get more and more impatient. In that moment, theyâre thinking about that darkness, and itâs legitimately frightening them. Theyâre scared.

Also please imagine NiGHTS spending a majority of a dream signing to a deaf visitor at the dream gate fountain because theyâre having so much fun and NiGHTS is genuinely enjoying themself as they donât get to do it very often.Â
