It was the time for the couple to go to sleep...

Once their children were asleep, the couple silently closed the door and headed inside their chambers. Stellaris climbed on the bed first, adjusting her body to embrace the comfort of the pillows and the sheets and awaiting for the embrace of her beloved, their usual cuddling. Estinien chuckled tenderly at her sight.

-Exhausted, aren't you? -He inquired.

-And grateful... -Stellaris spoke softly as she struggled to stay awake, her eyelids felt heavy. - Mon amour, is this happiness real? I am beyond fortunate to have met you and walk together on this path, bringing to this world our most precious treasures.

-Aye, t'is real. -Estinien leaned in to kiss her on her forehead. Stellaris' lips curled into a sweet smile. -Convinced enough?

-Mmm... Maybe? -She joked in a playful tone. - I may require more proofs of your statement, Ser.

-Well, well... Someone is being fussy.

-Will you indulge me?

-Now and always.

Ser Alberic and Stellaris answer Estinien's call...

Estinien turned his back on then, marching a couple of steps forward, until Stellaris walked towards him.

-I accept your proposal and I'll join your cause, Estinien. - she placed a hand on her heart. -I do not want to see more blood shed, including yours. I will face the trial, however, stay alive until then.

He stopped midway, with a smirk showing under his helmet before jumping away into the snowstorm.

🐉Wolstinien Week 2026 Day 2 - Scars 🌟

Stellaris had noticed how Estinien's body had two new scars, one in his right elbow, and another in his left shoulder. The same place Nidhogg's eyes engraved on his armor and skin, traces of the living inferno he endured. Before he fully covered his torso, she stopped him by gently caressing the exact spot.

-The chirurgeons were able to help with most of my recovery, although my body and mind will always remember the hatred, the pain and the losses of those days. -Estinien was honest, explaining calmly while awaiting for her reaction.

-Proofs of the battle you faced and survived so we're together now. -Stellaris continued with a soft smile, almost whispering, finishing her sentence with a kiss on the mark.

Now that Estinien is safely recovering, Stellaris took the chance to visit him...

-You look lovely. - he was smiling at her, delighted. -consider this Dragoon impressed.

-Thank you so much. -she returned another smile while playing with a hair lock, twirling it with her finger.

Just after Stellaris grabbed a chair to sit down, Estinien made room for her in his bed so she got comfortable next to him. With pleasure, she accepted his gesture.

-I perceive you a little shyer. -he noticed, remarking playfully. -You and I are familiar with each other.

-Because I feel glad to be with you, much more when you flatter me with that beautiful smile and that sweet gaze. -Stellaris admitted. -At this pace, I'll be hospitalized due to diabetes!

-Then I'll ask for you to be my roommate. -Estinien joked.

Both ended chuckling in a low voice, enjoying that entertaining atmosphere.

-How are you feeling? -Stellaris was pondering if she could touch him or not. -Does anything hurt you?

-My body feels heavy. -Estinien struggled with moving his arms.

-You had a difficult surgery, it's a relief you're safe at last. -she caressed his face with cherish. -Can I give you a kiss?

-I was desiring it, milady. -he closed his eyes. -Come closer.

It had been a while since they last put their lips together, looking for each other, longing. There was a warm feeling, even cozy at that hospital room. Estinien inhaled deeply, smelling something.

-What do you carry there? It smells nice. -He felt attracted to it.

-I baked some muffins for you. I barely use salt, sugar or oil, I hope it's of your liking.

He gave a good mouthful to one muffin, nodding as a sign of approval.

-You're a woman of many talents, it's delicious.
