I don't ship them romantically but drift and pyro have such a potentially interesting dynamic and some canon moments to work with.... drift is one of the few characters to recognize scott's abuse of pyro and then she falls victim to a similar sort of manipulation from scott! they're both driven by fear and are desperate to be seen as something other than what they are!
Personally I see them as more queerplatonic than romantic, but they have so much potential in their dynamic!!!! Lowkey they could have saved each other but kind of both have a sort of… I don’t know if learned helplessness is the right term? But an inability to see that they CAN do things for themselves and do deserve help. They are both very fear driven.
