Weiss groaned in pain from taking a slash to the arm from a massive Grimm. It was a miracle how she didn't get killed. She knew Neo wasn't exactly an ally, but given the circumstances, she didn't have a choice. While Weiss had no tolerance for criminal activities, she wasn't about to sit back and watch an Ursa Major kill someone.

It was a risky play: Weiss had to shove Neo aside and take the hit. Most people would think her to be crazy. This was originally a small mini quest to gather berries in the Forever Fall forest alone. She had something to prove to Team RWBY. But she never imagined she'd run into Neo of all people out here.

"...Look, I know, okay? I just..."

The heiress winced in pain once more, her hand coming up to her wrapped up wound. She had a morose expression on her face and knew this would be risky. Opening up to the enemy was extremely foolish, but Neo had a right to know after helping Weiss with her injury.

"No deserves to die, okay? I just... I don't know. I didn't want you to get hurt."

Another sigh left her lips, her gaze downcast.

“Salem had always been…not spoiled. Her father was wretched but…she’d been told no for so long, that I don’t think she could stand the sound of it anymore. She could be short tempered, and stubborn like you wouldn’t believe, but she was also kind, and so clever. When she loved someone, or dedicated herself to something, it was never in halves. But…isolation had hurt her. My death had hurt her. 

“I left her alone for so long, and she’d missed me so terribly. Tried so hard to bring me back to her, and only the gods cruelty kept us apart, as they ignored her prayers, even in their sanctuaries. If I had only been stronger…” A sigh passes his lips as brown eyes close. “When you love someone, it’s easy to forgive them. To ignore an insult. A item thrown in the height of an argument. To believe that she just didn’t know her new strength when she grabbed you too tight and her fingers burned with magic because she’d been so alone since I’d left her and that had been so long ago.” 

This was a dangerous hole. He needed to stop.
