Hi, tumblr teachers! I've been so impressed lately by the way #Education uses social media to get things done in real life, so I thought I might ask for some help.

The elementary school where I did a field placement for my education degree is participating in an adopt-a-school book drive run by Indigo.ca. Last year they got 317 new books. I'd like to help them get a few more this year, and tumblr seems like just the way to do it!

There are four ways you can help out, two of which are completely FREE:

1. "Adopt" the school. It's free, and all you have to do is give your name and email address. Or you can sign in with your Facebook account to make the process even easier! The school gets one contest point. 50 points gets them a new book!

2. Refer others to adopt the school through a link that you'll get after youadopt-- also free! This earns double the points: one point for each person who adopts, and one point for them being referred by you. (So, for example, each person who adopts by clicking my link gets two points.)

3. Donate. $12 buys a book.

4. Buy a $25 Indigo.ca gift card. You get $25 to spend or send to someone else, and the school gets a book. Win-win!

I know that teachers are often super strapped for cash and that you already spend tons of money out of your own pockets on your own students. Any help that you can give is extremely appreciated, including signal boosts!
