Precognitive dreams had kept her up all night, so the bags under her eyes were worse that normal. So when standing at the lights she let out a yawn and fumbled to cover her mouth. This resulted in her elbowing the nearest person to her. 

     Usually, the kinds of people who knocks on the class door in the middle of the lesson are those who are tardy (in which his lenience depends on their reason), the members of the administration staff (announcing new class schedules and whatnot), and new students (to which they were greeted fervently by the class, up to the point he has to quiet them all). That is why the moment he heard the knocking sound he bet against himself that the administration guy was the one who knocked.

     A simple 'excuse me' was uttered to his pupils - in English instead of French - before Zacharias rushed to open the door. What greeted him after he twisted the doorknob was not someone he expected at all; ah, he lost the bet. 

     They were none other than Ivy Summers. A fellow French language teacher of the school. She has taught here longer than the not really newly-employed Zach (which is obvious considering their age gap), he considers her as his senior. Of sorts. 

     His lips curved into a smile. “Oh, Miss Summers! I didn't expect you to come by. What brings you here?"

she may act like she was raised in a damn barn sometimes, but she's nice enough to share. so she holds out her box of marlbaros and meets the others gaze.
