Cut to Niki seeing them surrounded in a mess of cloth, dyeing items, and various objects they fed into the machine. They look at her sheepishly and she sighs, pushing them out of her sewing corner and telling them to come back tomorrow to make sure their measurements were alright.

Meanwhile the bench trio were like "FINALLY IT'S HAPPENING-" and haphazardly began helping with decorations. This also involved them bothering Dream and the store owner threatening to walk over to Quackity's saloon himself to take Tommy's and Tubbo's favorite song discs out of the jukebox if they don’t stop messing with the store. Ranboo sheepishly apologized on their behalf.

The karlnapity trio were in a spur of happiness and anxiety, looking at their mermaid necklaces in awe. They had commissioned Wilbur at the same time and the ghost was nice enough to make a necklace that had two smaller shells representing the other fiances so they didnt have to wear two necklaces at the same time.

Karl was almost permanently in his gummy form, too excited to calm down and maintain a human form.

Quackity still had to man the saloon but townsfolk were coming to congratulate him and his soon to be husbands.

Meanwhile, if anyone visited the forge, they saw Sapnap working away "on a secret project" no one was allowed to see, especially not his partners or the bench trio. The trio would snitch in a heartbeat LMAO

Their wedding was a spring wedding, a turn of a new leaf and an indication of new beginnings. The trio were clad in suits representing their main colors, though Niki added a few extra accessories and flares to each outfit. With karl, she made his suit jacket a mix of a tail coat and a suit jacket, with sapnap she fixed him with a vest under his jacket and some nice cuffs, and with quackity since she knew he would most likely wear a beanie, she made a veil for him to wear on his head.

They recruited the bench trio to be the flower boys and tommy mildly pouted at this but he just shrugged and targeted his throwing at Dream in retaliation to the store owner's original threat.

It was very much tearful but happy, the three saying their vows and holding each other's hands tightly. Suddenly, sapnap slipped out a small ring box revealing he had been making some rings to go with the mermaid necklaces. He slipped them onto Karl's and Q's fingers and at this point all three are crying.

I just realized I didnt make anyone Mayor Lewis but let's just say the Mayor declares them husbands and the trio kiss (albeit slightly in turns since three people kissing at once do be difficult)

When they arrive home the three collapse onto the bed, karl's form slipping into his gummy form and wrapping around his husbands.

"Husbands, it sounds so strange," karl giggles, bringing the two closer to him.

"Well you better get used to it, Karlos," Quackity teased, kissing his partner's cheek.

"That's right, Karl, you have to stick with us forever now," Sapnap also teased.

Karl laughed. "Forever? Geez, that sounds like a long time."

They continued to joke and tease each other and before they know it night had fallen. Quackity and sapnap were asleep and curled into karl's sides and he sighed, staring at the ceiling.

Forever may seem a long time, he thought, closing his eyes.

Karl was the first one to notice this and he asks if everything is okay. Quackity only smiled saying he was fine he was just busy recently. And it wasn't completely a lie. The king and queen had declared a ball for Karl to meet potential royals to marry and Quackity was assigned to making sure everything ran smoothly. Karl frowned sympathetically, insisting that Quackity shouldn't overwork himself.

"When you're done with work, do you want to go to my room with Sapnap?"

Quackity's heart skipped a beat, but he ignored it. He shouldn't intrude.

"N-no, sorry Karl I probably can't tonight."

He sees Karl's shoulders fall. "That's okay, Q, I know you're busy. Just- take care of yourself alright?"

As Karl left, Quackity let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. He hated lying to Karl, but he can't be with Karl or Sapnap.

There's some time skip when Quackity prepares for the masquerade and ends up falling asleep at his desk. When he wakes up he finds the prince's familiar purple cloak over his shoulders and a pillow under his head. He hummed sleepily, looking outside only to realize he slept in.

He rushed to get to the main hall where Karl and his parents were waiting. Sapnap stood dutifully by Karl's side and perked up when he saw Quackity rush through the doors. He apologizes for being tardy and the king and queen forgive him. Quackity glances towards Karl and noticed his cloak was missing.

Quackity lists off what was left before the ball, the king and queen listening intently. He felt Karl's gaze on him and he tried his best to suppress a blush.

"Is that all for the day, Quackity?" Quackity snapped his head up to meet the queen. "Yes, that's just about it." The queen nodded. "Thank you for your time, Quackity. You are dismissed." Quackity stood up and bowed to the royals before turning around and leaving the hall, facing another busy day of organizing the ball.

When night comes around he returns to his room exhausted. He's about to fall asleep on his bed when he saw Karl's cloak still at his desk. He glanced towards the window. It was already late out, and he could technically return the cloak tomorrow...

But there's also the chance he could see Karl and Sapnap tonight if he returned it...

"Oh hey, Q! I see you've come to return my cloak!" Quackity blinked as he was met with a very fancy, very extravagantly dressed Karl in a beautiful multi-colored outfit with a matching masquerade mask. He must've been gawking because he finds Karl giggling.

"What, am I just that breathtaking?"

Quackity rolled his eyes playfully. "Oh, you wish."

Karl laughed, but he took in Quackity's appearance. He was clad in his usual, loose pajamas when he heads to sleep for the night.

"Oh Quackity, are you not going to the masquerade ball tonight?"

Quackity froze. "WAIT THE BALL IS TONIGHT???"

Karl blinked at the reaction. "Yes, it is tonight. I thought you knew with you being one of the organizers and all."

Quackity let out a groan. All those late nights staying up trying to organize everything must've finally gotten to him. Karl's gaze softened. "If you want, I can help you get ready. Sapnap is going to stop by soon to escort me as well."

Quackity paused. He should honestly go back to bed and catch up on sleep, but...

The prospect of having a night with Karl and Sapnap was much more tempting.

Soon he finds himself sitting at Karl's vanity, the prince softly combing through his hair. He was now clad in a navy blue piece with golden highlights and swirls embroidered on the back and the edges of the sleeves. In his lap was a matching mask with gold-yellow feathers covering his left eye. Karl had added a little rouge to his cheek and a light lip stain. Quackity may or may not had blushed when Karl leaned in to apply the lip stain.

"Thank you for all of this," he murmured, looking down at the mask. Karl smiled. "Of course! Anything for someone I love."

Although the comment filled him with warmth, Quackity's shoulders fell. Karl noticed this. "Did I say something wrong?"

He was about to answer when they both hear a knock on the door. Karl approached the door and greeted Sapnap. He was still mostly in his knight attire, but he had his formal brooches and medals adorned on his chest. He leaned down to kiss Karl and Quackity turned away at the act of intimacy. The movement caught Sapnap's attention and the knight practically ran over to sweep Quackity into a hug.

The poor advisor let out a yelp of surprise as Sapnap enthusiastically rambled about how much he missed Quackity the past few weeks and how he rarely even sees him now. When he places Quackity down his face flushes because Quackity looked absolutely stunning.

He must've said it out loud for the advisor let out a huff. "Well my clothes are all wrinkled no thanks to you, I wouldn't exactly call it 'stunning.'"

Sapnap laughed. "Well you look pretty either way."

For some reason that was the tipping point for Quackity. He finally asks why Karl and Sapnap are putting so much effort into courting him if it's all in vain. Hell, the masquerade ball was for Karl to find another royal to marry in the first place.

By this point tears were threatening to fall over. Karl and Sapnap look at Quackity in shock. Sapnap approaches him, holding his face gently. He asks if Quackity really thought that's what Karl and him have been doing, just leading him on only to face rejection. Quackity just silently nodded.

He's prepared to just leave right then in there, but he feels Sapnap tilt his chin up into a kiss. Quackity's eyes widen and he scrambles backward in shock. All three are blushing at this point, Quackity a little more than Karl and Sapnap.

Quackity was sputtering when Karl approached him. "You know, for a royal advisor I would've thought you would know the marriage laws of the kingdom." He didn't say it in a demeaning tone, if anything it was more endearing.

"I-I don't understand."

Karl smiled. "While my kingdom favors marriage between royals, they do not mind if the next in line marries a non-royal. Moreover, they also don't mind multiple partners since it's more likely to strengthen the kingdom and even out the power."

Quackity's mind was reeling at this point. "S-so you mean, this ball was just for formalities and you.." he gulps, "you want to be with me and Sapnap?"

"If you allow it, we can."

Quackity clutched Karl's face. "I swear to Prime if you don't kiss me right now-MMFH!"

Soon it became a common occurrence for Dream and Sapnap to visit each other, playing and goofing around until they tire themselves out.

For a while Dream assumes Sapnap is a human and he doesn’t press since it’s the last thing on his mind.

He also didn’t know the other was a monster since Sapnap’s horns were so small. They were covered up by his bandanna all the time.

Dream had asked why he wore it all the time and the other just avoided the question or gave him a shrug. It wasn’t until they were in middle school did Dream finally realize the answer. It was also the first time Dream saw Sapnap’s second form.

Since Dream was the only one who bothered to talk to the monsters in his school, he was an easy target for harassment. He was cornered on his way to his lunch spot, three guys deciding to harass him for hanging out with the demon in the first place. Dream did his best to fend for himself but he was outnumbered.

Soon it got physical and Dream was pushed to the floor. However before things could escalate, Sapnap showed up.

He was pissed.

His hands had turned into claws, his horns had grown longer, and his eyes were pure white.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” the demon growled, the flames on his horns growing brighter.

The three immediately started to back up, making excuses about how they just wanted to talk to Dream. Sapnap called bullshit and summoned two balls of flame in his hands.

“If you even dare try to hurt my friend I am going to burn each and everyone of you guys into a crisp, you hear?!”

The three boys practically ran and Sapnap let out a small sigh of relief. When he turned around to see if Dream was alright, he was afraid that the human would run away or call him a freak like everyone else has.

After all he’s a monster, humans are supposed to be afraid of monsters. 

Instead, Dream was entranced by Sapnap’s new features. He even went to the extent of pulling Sapnap down by his horn so he could get a closer look at his fire-like hair.

Sapnap had flushed under Dream’s intense gaze, but he let Dream observe his new features.

“You have such cool claws! They’re almost the same size as my face!” Sapnap had giggled at the observation and, as more time passed, his form faded back to his usual horns and tail.

They easily become a tight knit duo, never straying too far from each other.

They do eventually make other friends, Sapnap a little more hesitant than Dream. Either way they always kept in touch with each other and often chatted by just opening up their bedroom windows and talking like that.

Eventually, senior year of high school comes and goes just as fast. Summer comes around and the two find themselves on Sapnap's roof, looking up at the stars.

They have a some small talk, but it's a little sad. Dream's family was moving to the state where he was going to college the very next day. This was the night Sapnap confessed that he liked Dream.

This was also the night Dream confessed that he liked Sapnap, too.

Together the two just cuddled and talked until the morning, retiring to Sapnap’s room some time during the night. Dream’s parents knocked next door knowing their son must've gone to hangout with Sapnap one last time.

Life moves on afterwards, Dream and Sapnap texting each other every once in a while, but never truly catching up.

And that's how they ended up here, face to face at their new jobs realizing they were working at the same company branch. They caught up after work and Sapnap asks if Dream still felt the same after so long. Dream only smiles and says of course.
