The independent manufacturers were out in force for last weekend's North American Telemark Association, Telefest at Mad River Glen, VT. Voile and Lucid Skis were demo-ing their sweet made-in-the-USA skis. Bishop Bindings was showing off their absolutely bullet-proof (and made in Colorado) bindings. My existing bindings are feeling somewhat inadequate now. Looking for something different on the snow? Maybe gear that's locally made? Well, there are innovative, non-mass market brands ready to help you out!
