I just had an encounter...
I've always been fond of sleep, and dreams. Lucid dreaming has been one of my escapes from my at times less than satisfying life. However, something just happened that has thoroughly shaken me. It started in a middle of a dream. Everything was dark and a man's voice was coming from someone in the darkness. He was discussing Shakespeare's particular style of writing in his plays as an upside down pentagram came into veiw. It was like it was made out of some tangible 3D graphic, slick and black, but completely solid.
Then he said "And that is what makes the witch scene in 'The Scottish Play' so fascinating". Then my eyes started to open. My lids wouldn't fully open, and my eyes remained slightly crossed eyed. In the place where my eyes overlapped stood a man in black robes with a pointed witch hat. He was leaning on my bookshelf, resting his left elbow on the top facing to my right continuing to explain the quirks of the witch scene, accenting his statements with gentle gestures with his right hand which had a green glove on it. It was if he was talking to someone I couldn't see.
I felt awake, so I tried to move to fetch my gun so I could get this intruder out of my apartment, but I couldn't move. It was like I was covered in an unseen lead blanket. The only things I could move were my tongue and eyes. However when I tried to focus my eyes or move them to the right to try and spot who this man was talking to my eyes would spaz out in their sockets. It almost felt like I was having a seizure. So I tried to scream "Get out!" But it came out as a quiet, raspy, mumbled, whisper. I still couldn't move my lips. This did grab the man's attention though.
He turned twords me and walked slowly for my bed. He had no face; he was simply a shadow in the shape of a man with the robes floating around him, as if he was in water. He reached out for me with his left hand which had a matching green glove on it. So I tried to scream again, "GET OUT!" then my eyelids retracted, my eyes snapped forward, and he was gone. I slowly tested my movement by sitting forward. I was home alone. Everything was just were it should be. But my heart won't stop racing.
So I have to ask. What just happened to me? Does anyone have any idea about what that thing was?
