So there’s this rumour that Marvel is searching for a trans actress.

The first character that comes to mind is Sera, who is Angela’s girlfriend (Angela is Thor and Loki’ s sister in the comic books, and she and Sera were both created by Neil Gaiman). They could introduce her in Thor 4, Loki’s series or even Guardians of the galaxy, since Angela has been a guardian as well.

I’ve been wanting Marvel to put these characters in a movie since the first time I saw Angela in a comic book.

I always thought they wouldn’t dare.

Even if this is just a rumour, I was surprised and happy. I would say it is necessary to put characters who belong to the LGBT in movies like these. Gay, bi, trans, asexual, non binary characters...between many others, because inclussion is necessary.

People are already complaining about these news. I’m not gonna say I didn’t expect to find hate. That would be too naive. But it still upsets me.

You know that kind of people. The kind who hate Brie Larson, the kind who think that gay characters are going to turn the children gay if they see them in a movie.

The kind of people that think putting a trans actor in a Marvel movie is gonna ruin the movie.

Nothing that isn’t bad writing or bad acting is gonna ruin the movie.

The inclussion of a trans actress playing a trans character is obviously not gonna ruin the movie.

I know that the people who complain about Black Panther, bi Valkyrie, Jane being Thor and Captain America being black or even about gay Joe Russo 😒are always gonna be like that. But maybe future generations can be different, better, less hateful, and that’s why inclussion is so fucking important.
