What do you know about the ceo and the founders of nh leaving? The new ceo greg. Im really confused about that, its been that way for the past four years from what ive seen but they still market from being a women-owned company??
I wouldn't call Greg new, per say. Greg Mills was the CEOÂ during my three years at Nix Hydra and you're right that he was there for 4 years or so. He was my direct boss. But everything I saw and was told to say during my time there was that the company was "female-founded" and made games for women, not "women-run."
I can't speak as to why the founders left, since it was before my time, but I can answer more questions you have about Greg Mills being the CEO if you'd like.
hi! i saw your post about NH and i'm interested in any "dirty laundry" you feel comfortable with sharing. i'm pretty frustrated with the current situation so any behind the scenes stuff you're willing to share, i'm all ears.
I plan on making a post in the next couple days about it! I completely understand the frustration fans are going through and I know that while I can't help a lot, I can help in some small ways. It'll just take me a bit to sort out all my thoughts from my time there and figure out what's worth talking about and what isn't.

How was the work place in general? I feel like there has got to be a reason why the entire last legacy team + lynne all quit around the same time.
The workplace itself? Tbh, I don't know about the writers. Their work environment was VERY different from mine. I also worked from home when I was doing customer support, but I was in-office during my time in shipping/merch and honestly? It was great. Probably one of my best work experiences.
However, I think the shipping/merch department was treated differently than other departments, as we were often left alone for our entire 8-hour shifts in a conference room to fulfill as many orders as we could a day. It was busy work made better by good coworkers, but honestly? We ran ourselves. Besides our department manager, we were mostly ignored by the higher ups and the rest of the company. It was only the other employees who were friendly with us that we'd ever see.
I can't speak for Lynne and Dev, nor would I want to. They have their own stories. But I will say I never saw the LL team in the office. Whether this is because NH wanted to keep us (shipping dept) isolated or because they worked entirely from home, I don't know. I do know that everyone has their breaking limit though. And just like I reached mine, I wouldn't be surprised if they just reached theirs.
What are your opinions about the arcana?
Well, this sounds like a trap. Buuut I'll answer it anyway.
Personally, I like the game. The people who made it worked hard on it to tell a story and create a world, and tried their best to do it right. I like the mystery aspect to it a lot, and think it's a well done story. I actually liked the story more after seeing behind the scenes and how hard the writers worked to make The Arcana.
Are the criticisms of it valid? Some are. Some aren't. But I know I will always be fond of the Arcana.

It's not stupid, anon. You're trying to comprehend the theoretical end of something you love. And I'll try to help how I can; that's why I made my post.
Officially? I know the same as anyone else. I left the company in Nov 2021, so I can't speak to what happened in the lead up to all this hullabaloo.
But from what I saw during my time there? Bankruptcy + employees ("employees") deciding enough was enough made the company untenable to keep alive.
Again, this is purely speculation based on my years at the company, but the company was treading water when I left, and I'm surprised it took this long for a takeover to happen.

what was your favorite near-death attempt?
My favorite was Christmas Day, 2015.
I had just gotten out of the movies, doing my yearly tradition of seeing the big winter nerd movie of the year with a couple friends, and as we started driving away from the theater, I realized I didn't have my phone on me. The last place I had remembered having it was right before getting into the car... and I had put it on the roof of the car.
Immediately after I voiced this to my friends, we heard the thunk of my phone falling off the roof. My friends stopped the car as soon as it was safe, and I bolted out the door to look for my poor phone amongst the traffic. And there I found it, right in the middle of 5-lane, VERY busy southern cali street.
Anon, when I tell you I starred in a live-action remake of fucking Frogger trying to get my phone, please know that I say so with all the grace of a sick and injured antelope. Three cars nearly ended my life, and I can't confirm that one of those three didn't actually hit me.
How both my phone and I made it back onto the sidewalk with nary a scratch on us, no one can figure out to this day.
