He cups a large hand around the open hole but the blood pools out from under it. It's so thick and red it dribbles onto the floor like a crimson syrup. He ought to have realized by the sharp pain earlier that simply wouldn't go away, but the heat of the moment had tunnelled his thoughts.
The bullet only grazed. Lucky him: he supposes, though now there's an oozing wound and a hole where there shouldn't be.
Hissing out a mutter of annoyance he ducks into an unoccupied building, cradling the injured limb as he calls through the communication relay.

lucile's had eyes on him for a while. a man dressed down in his dark second skin, evil red glass for eyes, quite alone and minding his business. she's no intention to let him maintain that solitude. he may be hard to see through the fog but she is harder still, camped up in the foliage of a rotten tree decorated with thick leaves. her camouflaged uniform sits perfect against the backdrop. wetting her lips a pitch perfect whistle of a song bird breaks the silence- a strange sound indeed considering there were nothing but crows to be seen.
He knows that there is no peace anywhere he walks - that this enormous prison that walls him in dark mist is filled with watchful eyes.
The way that he walks is imposing. As a shroud of all black he wanders through realms as a ghost - silent and threatening through presenve alone. The glowing lens of his mask rousing the fear of every one with enough misfortune to glimpse them up close.
A Grim Reaper - the harbinger of death. Wherever he walks. No matter the place he finds himself.
Everywhere that his boots carry him there are always creatures lurking. Beady eyed crows mostly, although this day feels different.
The concealment of the onlooker is not a deterrent. Though the song hummed as a means of drawing his alert is met with a subtle turn of his helmet.

Either way, he wasn't backing down or getting gun shy. "...You know, if you take a picture it'll last longer." He keeps his voice as steely and steady as he can, ocean hues defiant even in the face of what could possibly be danger. To show fear was a weakness and Billy Hargrove could not have that.

Decided I wanted to make another Incarnon, this time for one of my super old-school favorite weapons the Dual Heat Swords
Installing the incarnon adapter onto the Dual Heat Swords costs 20 Maw Fangs, 50 Ueymag, and 100 Saggen Pearl.
EVOLUTION 1: Achieve 6x combo multiplier and perform a ground slam attack to activate incarnon mode. While in incarnon mode follow through is increased to 1.0X, slam attack radius is doubled, and a spherical field of dragons' flame with a 6 meter radius is generated around the user. Incarnon dragons' flame deals half of normal attack damage as pure heat damage every 0.5 seconds. Incarnon mode lasts for 180 seconds.
EVOLUTION 2: Kill 300 enemies with this weapon. Perk 1: RING OF FIRE: Slam attacks and incarnon dragon's flame deal 50% more damage to enemies at their edge. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash). Perk 2: FUEL THE FLAMES I: Dragons' flame radius increased by +2 meters. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash).
EVOLUTION 3: Kill 200 enemies with damage from this weapon's incanrnon mode dragons' flame. Perk 1: SINGLE-MINDED FLAME: Increases status chance by +10%. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash). Perk 2: CRACKLING FIRE: Increases critical chance by +15% and critical multiplier by +1.0X. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash). Perk 3: FUEL THE FLAMES II: Dragons' flame radius increased by +2 meters. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash).
EVOLUTION 4: Complete a solo mission against level 30+ enemies with only this weapon equipped. Perk 1: ACCELERANT: Incarnon mode can now be activated at 3x combo multiplier instead of 6x. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash). Perk 2: I LOVE THE SMELL OF NAPALM: All heat status effects applied by this weapon have a 50% chance to also apply a blast status effect. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash). Perk 3: FUEL THE FLAMES III: Dragons' flame radius increased by +2 meters. Increases damage by 20 (+3 impact, +3 puncture, +14 slash).
