omg haha sorry about that... but welcome to the untamed!! How are you liking it so far? I feel you, it’s been over 2 months since I finished watching it, but still to this day every song I listen to and anything I do reminds me of them ahh!!
I know, the first ep is super confusing, when I started watching it I had no idea what was going on as well! (this article helped me back then, it explains the first episode). It was also the first chinese drama I ever watched and I was quite unfamiliar with the xianxia genre (still are a bit, tbh). This page explains a lot of the terms and practices common in this genre e.g. cultivators, sects, golden core, flying swords,...
I also used a character guide to differentiate all the different characters (I’m really bad at remembering people’s names in general and here they all have 2 names and a title help). This one tells you each characters’ names and the sect they belong to (if you don’t want to be spoiled, maybe don’t read the super tiny text marked with a *).
I’m pretty new to the fandom myself (watched all 50 eps this last august) and there’s still so much stuff I haven’t watched/read yet (it’s based on a novel but there are also a manhua, an audio drama, etc.) but feel free to ask me for more explanations! :)
