the thing about reading/writing fanfiction is that you inevitably end up learning that originality is overrated
like yeah, it’s fun reading this cool, never seen before concept, but you know what’s even more fun? reading an impossible amount of fics that follow the exact same trope, written over and over by just about every writer in that fandom
that’s the good shit
