this  is  really  interesting !!  i’m  not  very  familiar  with  russian  folklore  &  most  of  what  i  know  about  viy  /  koschei  are  through  deathless,  but  i  will  definitely  consider  them  as  future  muses,  as  the  concept  of  life  &  death  has  always  been  fascinating  to  me.  i’d  also  love  to  delve  into  female  figures  from  their  mythology  too  ( i’ve  had  my  eyes  on  baba  yaga  for  a  while,  actually )

the sight of elena covered in an innocent's blood, her heart racing fast enough to convince him that she was thrilled by her mess, the way her eyes grew darker and more confident. the point of it was to not feel, but he was positive he'd never loved her more. derek's eyebrows pursed together briefly as he thought over exactly about the truth she was demanding from him. it wasn't his to speak. his friend had cheated on her more than once and bragged about it to the guys which automatically made the hale question why he was even hanging with a guy that thought that being unfaithful was an achievement. "why are you asking me? i think you already know what the truth is, peyton, and you want it coming from someone who isn't the source," his words were hushed, low because the others were passed out in the living room from getting too high off of something derek didn't care for. it's a reminder from his past, sucked back into a memory he thought was long forgotten. he is a child seeking the attention from parents who disregard him, invalidate his feelings and tell him to suck it up. 𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗙, but it's there. there's no point in arguing with her as it would use up the remaining energy he has left. " asking nicely will get you places, " cole quickly mentions despite the decision previously made about arguing with @inabsolute, but he rises to his feet from the sandy ground and brushes the particles of sand off that had been sticking to his skin.

" shut up, " words fall easily off his tongue as he takes a seat beside her, instinctively rolling his eyes. truth is, he wouldn't be able to give her a definite answer as to why he's here. has he come to threaten her again or simply due to the fact that she's one of the few who has willingly stuck by his side ? threat aside.
