I've recently realised that "Tom & Gerri" reminds me of THE SERVANT (1963), and I'm so happy the guide validated this:

To further ramp up the tension and threat, Morales and Stephan Pehrsson used a subtle trick that 'you're not aware, but you feel,' says Morales.
