So apparently Sam Campbell is on the second episode of season 3 of the original recipe Guy Mont Spelling Bee (filmed before the Australian season 3, and perhaps before he knew he would be the assistant of said season), so...
A) Yay!
and
B) Does this mean there's a chance we might get Tim Key and/or Joe Thomas? (I'm assuming, like Sam, they were in New Zealand filming New Zealand spy around the same time Spelling Bee filmed.)
I'm still salty that Guy seemed to have every Melbourne Fringe visiting UK Taskmaster alum on Australia season 3 except Mark Watson (and still cling to hope that maybe Watto will be on the Christmas special, presumably shot at the same time), but Tim Key would help make up for that. And I would enjoy watching Joe Thomas have to rein himself in so he doesn't become a repeat-repeat winner and have to stay in New Zealand forever.

hi am i misremembering or is there a story either tim key or alex horne told ages ago about them getting very drunk and falling asleep next to each other then waking up to a wet bed & being unable to figure out who did it? i remember it being pretty sweet/funny. thx if you answer :) !

I absolutely would put money (and all my hopes and dreams) on alex and tim having shared beds, floors, couches etc in their younger/heavier drinking days though - floor's open to anyone with better memories who knows if there's stories confirming any of that 🥴🙏
