Jeans 6 -Rips+Tears
I will give an idea on how to hand paint rips and tears in jeans (it is not actually that hard!)
I draw out the general hole area I want in black.
I use one of the acrylic brushes and use the aspect ratio to make it thin. (this is also great to use for grungy cracks)
I then use the regular dimensions for the brush to add “frays”. This is on a new layer. (Pretty much everything I do is) For longer frays, try using the spatter brush and smudging or you can make/download a brush for hair that would do the same thing. I use the eraser to clean it up a bit
It also helps to duplicate the white fray layer and make it black underneath for shadow. Set the shadow layer to overlay. It can take a bit of eyeballing but it lets you put in a lot nicer detail
