A good show a YouTube originals sounds like an oxymoron but this is, in fact, the case when it comes to Impulse Season 1. This might sound like a familiar story a young girl learns that she might have some extraordinary powers, but the way it’s told makes it feel fresh. This is solely concerned with characters a lot of the drama is internal struggles the characters go through. It’s a smaller story dealing with quiet tension and draws you in so easily. The writing, the acting, the story, it’s all so good and well done. This is a show that deserves far more attention than it’s getting.

In the upcoming YouTube Red Originals drama series IMPULSE, 16-year-old Henry Coles is an outsider in her new town of Reston, New York. With a major chip on her shoulder and no friends, she remains withdrawn and isolated, but everything changes when a traumatic encounter with a classmate triggers something deep within Henry—  unleashing a power she cannot control.
