Here's the 2nd song we improvised. Another Bonus Track for the Rosewood EP.
So I have this pair of jeans that has flaps on the back to cover the pockets and then flaps are supposed to stay down because there are buttons on the backpockets and holes on the flaps.
Well over the course of various experiences the buttons got yanked off and so the flaps kinda just wave around and it looks really stupid if I have a t shirt pulled over the jeans because it looks like something is sticking out of them. So I haven't worn these jeans for like eight months unless they're my last pair. Which is sad because they're a decent pair of jeans otherwise.
Finally I decided I was going to just rip the flaps off. Well I don't have a seamripper. I have needles and thread and scissors and everything you need to do basic sewing, but not seam ripper. So today I decided, screw this, I'm ripping the damn flaps off.
Solution? I borrowed my male roommate's switchblade that is strong enough to cut steel and pulled all the seams out. Not only was the knife convienient for yanking out the seams but when the threads were all loose and annoying I could just use the knife the cut them back and didn't need to put it down and pick up a pair of scissors. I wouldn't recommend using a knife like this if you aren't comfortable handling blade, I am because I do a lot of cooking and such but yea, useful new sewing tool. Now I have awesome flapless jeans!
Here's an improvisation I did earlier tonight. I think it's all I do nowadays since I don't have much time to learn something I really want. ( Chopin Nocturnes X.X ) I'm still hoping to learn jazz someday... then I can improvise with so much more color
