We get so much impractical over sexualized female armor in media nowadays, which I have no problem with. However, even as someone with no interest in men, I can see that this is unfair to those who want eye candy of the masculine variety.

Despite the obvious dysfunctional design in many armour in dark fantasy and fantasy in general, I still enjoy it as a guilty pleasure and a genuine form of character and world design. It really shows how the world is a piece of art designed to express the themes and beauty in a world of darkness and melancholy, depicting spikes and flames akin to the hostility and tattered cloth on cracked metal to revel in the unfathomable oldness or mystery in a world where foes of powerful and terrifying origin await to ruthlessly kill travelers and leave grim reminders about the constant threats lurking for people to discover.
It also shows how an individual character can be depicted so as the audience can understand that this person is still apart of the overall world as well but they are separate at the same time, showing their personality through their colours, ornaments, chips in the metal and overall individuality. Anyway long way of saying armour is cool even if impractical.
