How did you come up with the idea for the Ruby Steven au

I like AUs that aren’t just cannon but Steven’s mom is diffident (although I don’t have a problem with them) I’d much rather have an AU that has a significant change. I’ve always wanted to make an AU,then one day the idea popped into my head. “What if Ruby had kid instead of Rose” And that’s how I cam up with the idea for the Ruby Steven AU.
