Worry

The crew manages to stir the ship into the safe harbor picked beforehand by Blaine without them.

But after a couple of unixes without either of their captains in sight, some of them start worrying.

And they are pirates.

By their professional nature, they don’t tend to worry. They plan, they think, they overthink sometimes, but they don’t worry.

Except now. Now they do.

Kurt and Blaine have locked themselves in Blaine’s cabin and though some members of the crew have heard … noises, coming from it, no one has dared to knock on the door.

“You go.”

“No, you go. You’re the second in command.”

“Ah, that’s rich! Whenever I try to exercise some kind of authority, I’m just an annoying know-it-all, but when it’s about going to disturb them in their love nest, I become the second in command!”

“Pretty much, yes.”

“You’re so fearless, you go.”

“Having knives strapped everywhere you cannot see doesn’t make me fearless, it makes me prepared.”

“Oy vey.”

“Dios mio.”

“Fine!” Wes says, stepping between the two women. “I’ll go.”

Villain: “Why are you here?”

New Side-kick: “I am here to stop you from-!”

Villain: “-enjoying my vacation?”

New Side-kick: “??”

Villain: “It figures that the news didn’t reach you new guy. I’m off duty for a month [Side-kick].”

New Side-kick: *flushes red and apologizes for interrupting their break*

Villain: *chuckles* “Come in, I’m going through batches of cookies trying to figure out which ones I like best. You might as well make yourself useful and taste my baking.” [When the Hero asks for a mission report]

"As my legal guardian, you are required to like me by law."

You are 9 years old and your family is attending a birthday party for an important business deal. The main entertainment for the children was a magician. 

After the magic show, tired of the unceasing chatter from your peers, you end up following the magician into an empty hallway. The door had just closed behind you when the magician took his wand and performed a series of complicated, showy movements as a bright glowing screen-like projection appeared before him. 

The glass you were holding hit the floor.

The magician turns to you slowly, eyes wide with shock. The projection was blurry from where you were standing but as the magician had turned away from it, you could see more clearly. 

There were people walking, holding large amounts of paperwork, some were by filing cabinets, or typing away on their laptops or computers. You could hear the distinct sound of paper rustling, footsteps, and the clacking of keyboards coming from the projection. You turned your attention away from the screen when the magician finally moves again. You hear him say one thing before blacking out:
