Q: “sebenarnya perlu ngga sih kita membuktikan kebenaran atas sesuatu kalau ada fakta yang terbolak-balikan karena kelihaian lidah, atau transfer cerita yang tidak utuh?”
A: “tergantung.”
Q: “maksudnya bagaimana?”
A: “misal, ketika kita tidak membuktikannya akan berakibat fatal terhadap banyak orang atau mendapat hukuman yang tidak manusiawi terlebih bukan kita yang bersalah. menurut persepsiku, itu perlu. karena ini sebagai ikhtiar dalam menghilangkan ‘kebiasaan’ berbohong, atau membenarkan sesuatu yang salah.”
Q: “lantas, pembuktian yang ngga perlu bagaimana contohnya?”
A: “tepatnya, bukan tidak perlu. hanya saja, coba kita pikir lagi untuk apa pembuktian itu? misal, kamu mendapat labelling dari orang-orang si anak pemalas, saat kamu bertekad mengubah kebiasaan kamu, niatkan karena kamu membutuhkannya. bukan untuk membuktikan kepada mereka bahwa kamu tidak sebagaimana yang mereka anggap.”
Q: “kenapa begitu? kalau mereka lihat aku nya pas lagi istirahat, atau disaat yang tidak tepat, label itu masih menempel padaku dong?”
A: “nah itu dia, terkadang kita lupa dengan niat kita karena terlalu fokus pada pandangan orang tentang kita. kalau aku balik pertanyaannya, berarti kamu menjadi rajin atau lebih baik supaya kamu di labeli anak rajin dan rajin dong? Terus suatu hari kamu khilaf dan mereka tidak melihatnya, kamu merasa aman-aman saja.”
Q: “.....kemudian sebaiknya harus bersikap bagaimana?”
A: “kalau menurutku, bukan masalah pembuktian kita terhadap oranglain. melainkan, lakukan yang terbaik sebagai tanggung jawab kita kepada-Nya dan senantiasa meluruskan niat kita. sehingga kita akan bertanya lagi kepada diri ini, ‘ridho siapa yang kita cari?’“
