“you humans are so exhausting--” she sighed, looking back at her as she pulled the jacket a little tighter around herself. “darling, i recall you abandoning it here. so, by all means, if you want to try and take it back, you can. or you can cut your loses and call it a night.”

“follow me,” lizzie looked into the other’s eyes, using her compulsion. perhaps this was wrong, but she could feel the hunger coming back because what little she had from the bag she’d been given hadn’t been to satisfy her. she knew it could be risky, so that’s why she wanted to pull the other person away from the crowds. lizzie headed out of the big room and tried to go as far away as possible. once she could no longer hear the crowds she stopped, hoping the other person had indeed been following her. 

“Really didn’t see where I was going. You okay? Mean, sure, it was only fluffy fabric, but even that can hurt homehow, I guess.” She mused while starting to collect everything up from the floor again.

“what is the aesthetic supposed to be? all it does it make it obvious you’re probably exhausted” he asked, clearly not buying it. and maybe jin ling was a little paranoid himself, not wanting anything that could make him look off balance or out of control, but that was besides the point. “it only takes two minutes to cover up, and there’s better ways to look unapproachable if that’s what you want.”

“Like, I am wondering, is this a one-time-thing, or is it actually happening every year?”
