Dear users, For those using Heybubble on imo.im, they just announced today, that they might stop supporting Jabber (http://blog.imo.im/post/78065991703/discontinuing-support-for-all-third-party-messaging). Too bad for them... Alternative to imo.im web messenger
As some of you may be aware, there's an issue with connections to Skype accounts on imo.im and they seem to have taken off the Skype option from their service at the moment.
If you're affected by this and cannot use the official Skype client to log in or would prefer not to use it for whatever reason, you can try plus.im as another web messenger browser as an alternative or temporary option.

Unfortunately, there is still no Skype app available for the Playbook, but here's a little workaround. Simply go the website imo.im and log in with your Skype account there. Since the Playbook browser supports flash you can now make Skype calls using the service of this website. First you need to call the echo/sound test service to see if it's working for you. If not, got to settings and the Flash preferences should pop up where you can select your mic and the cam. It works fine for me and the calls are very clear. Video chat isn't that easy, though. Your Skype friend must also login through imo.im for this to work.
