The pawn broker was trying to relax; he was not back to himself after the year he’d had.  He was still having nightmares, waking up, thinking he was in that cage, under the control of that woman….

But he wasn’t.  He was here, in his shop, and he had a customer.

Ryan was nervous. Will the lasagna and the ice cream be enough? Will Emma and Henry like them?

He could find a place for his hands shifting them from his front pockets to his back. This dinner was Henry's idea. Ever since Emma and him returned from New York Henry was ranting about them being family. 

How could he be family with Emma of all people? Was that even possible? How would Snow react when the things between them were just getting better.

It was then when the doorbell rang. 

Ryan run his hands over his hair and went to open the door.
