Brenda had a most normal life; never struggling with things. She was smart, clever enough to manage her way through school and whatever trouble came up. It all changed when she turned thirteen. Her mother died in a car crash, leaving her with just her father. A busy man, he had to learn to properly connect with his daughter. In return the death of her mother only made Brenda feel helpless. Hating that feeling, she decided early on that becoming a medic, a doctor, would be the best option for her to have a chance to help where before she had been helpless.
Her father died years later, when she turned eighteen. From there on his money kept her on her track but otherwise the young woman struggled getting a hold on life; on the things that just seemed to be slipping from her grasp. When the next tragedy struck she was twenty one, a medic to be, struggling to stay alive while a dangerous virus was attacking her immune system in every way it could. Everyone in her family had died but somehow Brenda managed to survive what should have killed her; turning her into someone to hate even just a minute of sleep because of the thought of what might happen if she were to close her eyes.
