“WicDiv Figure Skating!AU - part 2”

i was on a figure skating kick like 10 years ago and it’s showing, as in this au i keep thinking about inspiration from skaters who don’t compete anymore. i mean, inanna and obvious johnny weir parallels

I’m a newer fan so I obviously tend to gravitate towards currently competing skaters, but yeah, Johnny would be a great inspiration for Inanna. And I guess I went a bit too far with my Inanna as a Yuzu expy, also because my inner fanyu took the wheel and I can’t wait to see him back on ice on Japanese Nats.

But I think another (current) inspiration that I should’ve delved more on is Adam Rippon. I feel like I didn’t do him my justice, so let’s remodel Inanna a bit. He’d totally say this (not to mention this particular Beatles costume is an amazing purple mesh-fest, and Inanna must love mesh). And he’d also straight up sing a song during his exhibition instead of, you know, skating (this actually happened during this GPF series I kid y’all not). The only thing I initially borrowed from Adam initially were layback spins, because his laybacks are gorgeous. Also, i recommend checking his programs this year - the FS is beautifully soothing, while SP is inspired by “trashy clubbing” apparently. And I guess this short video is also worth seeing. I didn’t tell this already, but Adam is openly gay and the way he 100% owns it just makes me feel more inspired to stay true to myself, which is also what Inanna does to me.

   aww, this sounds so great! there’s no love in the word like one’s fave band that stays with you through the ages. i hope you’ll get better soon! also i would like to ask about the handcuffs story, if you don’t mind  

  mmmmm im like 80% done with my paper on wicdiv in...

lol, i was actually planning to write some far-fetched ‘meta’ about wicdiv and bakhtin’s carnivalesque, in particular an archetype of fool pertaining to a certain character. but yeah, anyway, wicdiv is def comic about carnival

I-m not making any predictions, but i hope this book continues to be the one about, to quote Cass, "fuckwit satans." Because those two we saw were indeed like that. Also yes, stupid puns, about Goths or not.

oh, don’t get me started on the mystetry of the way ananke selected the gods. she said that lucifers were difficult and yet there was a handful of them. yeah, the only thing we can be sure of is that 455 AD luci is going to be difficult, too. uh oh, i just remembered kieron said something about tomorrow’s special either shedding light on some things or disproving some of people’s theories, i forgot what was that exactly

   ugh, doing work for ‘family friend’ or someone like that is the worst:(    

God, isn’t that the truth, Tristan. Not that I’m assertive in any shape or form but working for a family/parent’s friend feels like it’s all about being at their beck and call.

On the flip side, I worked for a friend once and when I sent him my bill he was like, nah, this is too cheap, i’m gonna pay you more.

   so I don’t know how you run your business as a freelancer, but could you possibly ask for a fee up front before they pay the rest at the end of the translation process? like a down payment, lol. so both parties are invested in what’s going gown. (so frustrating tho girl, jesus)
