Christine’s mother was a full-blooded elf who died when Christine was still an infant. Her grief-struck father took Christine with him to the world of humans, where she grew up. She didn’t learn the elfin toungue as a child, and still speaks with a slight accent. (Which Raoul thinks is utterly charming, while Phillippe finds it barbaric.)

imitateslife Ismael kills the one murderer standing, directly defying an order from the Shah. He didn't know what came over him because when he saw all that blood and Erik- Erik... something snapped inside.
As for Erik, he's a battered, cut-up, bloodied mess who has to wheeze with every breath. He can't even say "daroga"- just whispers of "Ismael.. Ismael..." Erik was never sane in the first place, but this ordeal might be the straw that broke the camel's back.Â
