i think imgbb removing so many creators gifs (including my own) has so many more repercussions for the rpc than we realise. so many gif makers hosted their gifs on there in the last however many months/years even when they have been making a conscious effort to provide resources for underused and under represented groups.
so many gif packs that have been made in an effort to make the rpc more inclusive and represent the world that we live in, and a lot of them have now gone. so please, let’s not revert back to our problematic fave faceclaims because the gifs might be available in an old gif pack. please don’t stop using those faces because an already small bank of resources has been made even smaller.
crucially: please be patient. not all gifmakers keep their own gifs, especially if they make such a high volume, so many many packs need to be remade from scratch. if you have any gifs saved at all from these packs i stress that you try and reunite them with their gifmaker because i promise they will be more than grateful.
please do not harass gifmakers to remake gifpacks!!! they have lost their hard work, packs that can take days and days have all gone. they need time to remake them. but they are not obligated to do so. and please, support the creators. they need that boost now more than ever, and i can tell you how much a ko-fi contribution can mean to your favorite creator.
