"Cookies…I…uh…" This was a bad idea. A really bad idea. "They’re lactose free…" He held the plate out to to Dan, expecting him to knock it out of his hand.
Dan narrowed his eyes, moving his focus back and forth from the impostor to the plate of cookies. He, of course, really liked cookies and found it hard to resist, but Dan was still skeptical. He snatched a cookie from the plate and examined it.
"What for?" he inquired, analyzing the aroma. Didn't smell poisoned, but he couldn't very well determine if they were truly lactose-free. "And why should I trust you?"
Dressed as a pink bunny, Dan* invites himself into Dan's apartment and locates Dan. He sneaks up on him and puts one furry bunny paw around Dan's chest and dangles an easter basket in front of his face with the other. "Even though you've been bad this year, the easter bunny decided to visit you anyway."
Dan made his way into the kitchen to retrieve a cold soda from his fridge. He naturally assumed he was alone, so it gave him a horrific surprise when someone suddenly appeared behind him. The basket was presented to him and once he heard that voice, Dan jolted from his spot, knocking the basket out of the impostor's hands into the floor and spinning around."What the...?!" Dan picked up the basket, examining the contents, but then shot his gaze back at the impostor. With an irritated growl, he chucked his can of soda at him, missing horribly. "Get out of my apartment!"Though he was clearly agitated, he had absolutely no intention of surrendering the Easter Basket.

"…yeah…I didn’t think you’d listen…I don’t know why I said anything…" He looked…a bit sad? Embarrassed might be the better word.
Dan squinted, perplexed at the sudden change of tone the impostor displayed. Usually this was the part where his counterpart would throw some witty retort back at him but... "You weren't... serious, were you?" His gaze remained on the other, but his head was tilted down slightly.
"When I'm with you, I'm so close to feeling alive."
Dan snarled his nose up in disgust. "Stop saying shit like that..! If you think your lies are going to get to me, you've got another thing coming, pal!"

There was almost no hesitation. Dan promptly and forcefully backhanded the impostor with every once of strength he could summon in his scrawny arms.
