Another day gone, another day of no one coming to battle the Sinnoh league. It happens, its like the flow of life. You win some, you lose some. The champion came out, seeing all of the other members of the elite four before she would head home. She came to Flint, looking in.

"Flint? Are you still here?" She asked, her gray eyes looking around the room as she let herself in. Hopefully, he didn't already go home. The pair, even though the two were in the same area, Cynthia was so busy she never even got to say hi anymore. 

Oh, freedom. Sweet, sweet freedom. Volkner gladly took the soonest train straight out of Sunyshore, it was, what? 7:30 or so? In the morning. Whatever, that jerk had woken him up plenty of times at ass o' clock in the morning, and Volkner had the day off, Flint would just have to suck it up.

The train to him to the shore and he crossed over to the port, paying for and receiving a ticket for the next ferry that would leave in about 10 or so minutes. Volkner crashed on a bench near the boarding site for when the boat would come shortly.

Briefly, he considered sending a note or something to warn Flint, but in his defense, Flint never gave him any warning. At all. Finally, the ferry pulled into the port and after verifying his ticket, Volkner boarded, leaning against the railing of the boat.

He smiled slightly, the weather was surprisingly warm considering the early hour, and a light breeze floated from the lazy waves of the ocean. Only one or two other passengers came aboard the vessel before it took off from the harbor.

Within 20 minutes or so, the ride was over. Volkner took the same path up to Flint's house that he normally did, considering it was so close to the Pokemon League, and they didn't have to report to work until ten, Volkner felt he was safe in assuming Flint would be at home until 10:30 or so.
