you definitely play minecraft together, she always uses creative mode and builds you absolutely outrageous things that are either kind of sweet/thoughtful or make you laugh so hard you snort

she will zone out and stare at you for very long periods of time. the record so far is 25 mins. afterwards she gushes about how pretty you are and everything she loves about you

she’s one of those people who acts like she hates your interests but she secretly loves them and finds total comfort in them, like you found her passed out listening to a 6 hour asmr video and you thought it was adorable

MR. WHITE/Larry Dimmick

. I picture him to be a reader too, more so of classic literature and beat poetry like Kerouac and Burroughs, stuff like that. Back in his younger years, it was Westerns, but he grew out of those. Still, he has retained his love of reading even in his middle age. So when he finds out that his lover is into reading, he’s pleasantly surprised. A boyish grin tears across his face, taking years off of him. A fire ignites in his eyes, one of passion for both you and your hobby. 

. " That’s real nice, cupcake, me too. I mean, you could call me connoisseur of good literature, not to brag, of course. “ 

. Proceeds to quiz you on everything about reading. Who the best author is, what genre is the the most versatile, who wrote what and when, the whole works. He is very impressed by your knowledge, losing his bet and having to buy you ice cream. ( Replace with your favourite dessert here if you don’t like ice cream )

. He’s super supportive of your hobby, through and through. Oftentimes, you two will hit up all the local bookshops to find stacks of books to bring home. Freddy has come over to find you seated on Larry’s lap as he sits in his armchair, the two of you with your noses in books. It’s really sweet, you guys are so wholesome together!

MR. BLONDE/Vic Vega

. He’s like White in terms of his support, but he himself doesn’t really read much. Sure, the occasional Puzo novel he’ll pick up to read when he’s on the toilet ( hint hint to another one of his relatives, LMAO ) or bored or something, but he’s not much of a reader himself. However, he does love to listen to you talk about all things literature.

. " Who knew I’d score a gal like you, Y/N? Good in the sheets, unafraid to call me out on bullshit, blessed with a body like that, and now well read? Is there anything you can’t do? “

. A lot of times when he has to slink away for jobs, he’ll leave you a gift of a new book on the nightstand next to your guys’ bed. It’s sort of like a stress reliever, so you won’t worry about him when he’s out on the prowl. He leaves really sweet little notes in the book’s inner cover, telling you he loves you and that he wants to hear all about this new novel/short story/poetry collection when he comes back. 

. Meaningful debates over writing and reading as a whole, on such a frequent basis that before Vic knows it, he’s almost as much of an encyclopedia on literature as you are. At least, enough so that he can talk to you about it, ha ha. 

MR. BROWN/Johnny Campbell

. He thinks it’s cute that you like to read. I picture him being the type of guy who likes partners that are intelligent, and you fit that bill for him perfectly. Brown is like Freddy in my mind as he likes comic books and pulps. But he loves science fiction too, having amassed himself a collection of Asimov, Herbert, Adams, all of those great authors. 

. “ No way, that’s real cool, Y/N! You into science fiction? I gotta really sweet shelf of paperbacks and pulps at my place if you wanna look at them.” 

. One of your guys’ love languages is borrowing each other books from your library. Because of this, Brown’s taste has diversified, if only for the reason that he just loves your enthusiasm. So no matter how dull, awful, or not-his-cup-of-tea the books you give him are, he always finishes them. He loves you, and loves to see how excited you get over reading. For him, that’s all he needs. You reciprocate too, reading every single novel, comic, pulp, anything that he gives you. You just love to read, and don’t limit yourself. 

. Whenever you guys meet up with the Dogs, they are all astounded by the amount of stuff that Brown knows about literature simply because he’s dating you. He’s so proud to show off your passion, never once telling you to tone it down or stop. That’s out of the question. Plus, I picture Brown to be ADHD, so he wouldn’t ever find you too intense anyways. 

MR. ORANGE/Freddy Newandyke

. The first thing that jumps to mind for him, is that you read comics. He’s so uneducated on any literature past required high school reading, that he just assumes that anyone who is a reader means they are obsessed with Marvel like him. Of course, this was not fully true for you. When you explained that you preferred more traditional literature than comic books, then he understood. You told him you don’t hate comics and that there is nothing wrong with them, but you would rather read a novel by your favourite author/poet. 

. “ I get that, Y/N, and it’s all good. So, hit me up. Talk to me, I wanna know everything about this little hobby of yours.” 

. Everything changes the moment that you launch into an upbeat and eager conversation about reading for Freddy. The way your face lights up, eyes twinkle, how you can barely contain your jubilance, makes him fall even harder for you than he already had. He cannot help but absorb everything you say, memorizing all of your favourites. You’ve kindled that fire inside him to branch out in no time. Soon he’s reading with you, when he’s not busy at work, with the Dogs, or catching up on the newest episode of Spider-Man and Jem and The Holograms. ( Oh yes, I did ) 

. You two become so partial to reading that it’s one of the ways you spend time together. Whenever you feel down, he’ll pick up your favourite book, cuddle up with you, and start reading aloud to you. He’s not bad either, though its funny when he does different voices for characters than how you originally imagined them. He could totally be a voice actor, in your opinion. You tell him this, making a blush appear on his face. He replies that he only wants to make his baby happy. 

MR. PINK/Jeremy Davidson

. He’s not indifferent about it, but he doesn’t react as excitedly as say White does. He has his own little library in his studio apartment, a nice bookshelf piled with Bukowski, Hemingway, Heller, and a few Playboy magazines here or there. He’s very selective about what he likes, and he doesn’t hesitate to be suspicious about what you read. 

. “ Are we talking dollar store porn masquerading as romance books, I-stick-to-high-school-reading-lists, or actual real deep dives here? Me, I’m fussy, so I can only hope that you are too, Y/N.” 

. He eats his words the moment you reply. It’s really hilarious, to see him be so taken aback is not normal for him and you laugh at it. He grumbles, but lets you continue. You relay every single detail, not sparing him anything. Your knowledge intrigues him. All the people he’d dated before you were simple, easy to figure out, and that drove him crazy. But with you, there is so many layers and so much complexity, that he has to stop. He just can’t believe that a person like you would settle for someone like him. 

. It always puts a smile on his face when he sees you reading. To know that you’re happy makes him happy, and he can’t help but be entranced by your love of literature. Your cleverness, comprehension, and dedication is unwavering, just like your love for each other is. So although he may not like every single book/short story/play/poem that you read, that doesn’t matter to him as much as seeing that beautiful smile he loves so much on your face. 

NICE GUY EDDIE CABOT

. Eddie is a cross between White and Pink, happy you like reading while still being reserved in his choice of books. He himself likes Victorian literature like Oscar Wilde, but he’s not opposed to a good Western or gangster novel/pulp. Depending on what you like, his reactions will vary from acknowledgement to genuine excitement. 

. “ Makes sense that you like reading and all, I had a feeling when we got together, Y/N. You ever heard of Cold? Its a real hyper-speed western/action subgenre trilogy I love, and maybe you will.” ( puts made up book here because I can’t think of any Western books but The Dark Tower series, lol )

. You tag along with him to work and jobs often, and to pass the long driving time or boring meetings, you’ll read. Whatever you can get your hands on--be it a magazine, newspaper, mediocre harlequin, even the back of a soda can--you sit there and read. You have this adorable look that you get on your face when you get really invested in what you’re reading, that Eddie finds to be dazzling. You only make that face when you’re reading, so he’s always watching you to see when you’ll do it. It’s not meant to be weird, rather admiring. He just loves you so much.
