Surprisingly, her hands were released. Whoever let go was now carefully placing their hands on either side of her face.
“Kairi! It’s me! Look! It’s me!”
Kairi stopped struggling, panting as the hands gently pointed her face to their owner’s. “Riku?”
He nodded.
“It’s me,” he responded quietly.
All those other faces began to retreat.
