 Looking back to when we started this project I think it would have been better to continuously tweet throughout the semester so I was behind most of the time. I also would have tried to check in more often and really think of professional aspects I would be able to tweet about instead of sticking to my own personal Twitter.

Overall, I thought this class was very helpful in many ways. This class will be very helpful to me in the future because I am going into Marketing. This means that some of these activities will help me in the near future. Those include creating a website, the LinkedIn, Twitter, and also the survey/infographic project. I really enjoyed doing most of the activities that we had to do especially the infographic. I am a big fan of designing projects and making things unique. I hadn’t made a LinkedIn or resume before this assignment, so that really helped me because going into marketing I will definitely need both of those accounts.I highly recommend Taking IM260, it has taught me a lot, and I’m very glad I took it.

This assignment was actually better than I expected, since I had already been working with Twitter for a few years now. What I did was made a professional Twitter with a professional photo and a bio explaining who I am. Throughout the semester I would tweet my progress of each assignment. I would then use the hashtag IM260. Using hashtags was helpful for categorizing tweets making them easier to find. I am very glad that I had to make this professional Twitter, because in the near future I can see myself really getting into it. 

My bio reads “I am a sophomore at St. Cloud State and am seeking an internship in marketing. My main areas of interest is brand marketing. I like the idea of helping a business grow by promoting their name and logo through promotion, sponsorship, and consumer interaction to create brand loyal customers. I still have much to learn about marketing, but can already tell that this is something that I am passionate about. I am also confident that my face to face communication skills, as well as my exposure and experience with mobile marketing will allow me to succeed in this career field.”

Lee de Forest is known as the "father of the radio". He created the three-element "Audion" (triode) vacuum tube, which was the first practical amplification device. I also observed an amusing resume from D2L where it was an interactive resume. You could move back and forth between the little mini-game that is a resume. I find this much more interesting than a normal, basic, and boring resume that people submit. If you are applying for a technology job, creating an interactive resume would be a great way to make yourself stand out and show off your technological skills. Alan Turing is known for the Turing machine and is considered the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.

For this assigment, i really struggled. The first assignment I completed for this was the snowman activity. I was very confused on that. 

For this assignment, I gave up all of the technology for a 24 hour period. It was very difficult for me considering I’m always on my phone. What I did all day really helped me get through the day. I enjoyed the whole day because I wasn't distracted by my phone, computer or TV. I spent a lot of time with my family at home. What was difficult obviously was not being able to look and my phone all day. I was very anxious to turn it on and look at it. But I knew I couldn’t so I just forgot about it and went back to doing something else. Everything worked out just fine, I made it through the day without any technology. I think next time I am going to plan something that takes up most of the day to really distract me from using any technology, but i would definitely do that again.
