So, if you wanna know how to sign up or are interested to see how this show is going down (I hope it goes well lol) keep on reading!
I encourage you to read these very carefully.
BEFORE SIGNING UP YOU SHOULD KNOW:
must follow me (for updates and so that I can message you, if you have your direct messages set to non-public)
must reblog this (help me spread the word pls!) and to have in your blog should you want to read these complex rules again lol.
must be comfortable giving me an email and a name to put on the list (make a dummy email for this event if you wish and give me a nickname. This will be needed for you to be on the list of names.)
in the writings no incest or pedophilia are allowed. it does not matter if who you drew put it on their preference list. in fact, don’t even write it on your preference list.
when the moment comes, you MUST write a preference list/wishlist (More information on what has to be on there further down.)
remember you will be writing for someone too. This is a gift and be gifted thing.
minimum of 500 words and must use the read more feature.
you have until November 21st to tell me if you’re joining. How to join further down.
some users do not have AO3 accounts so please post them here first and get permission from the person you’re gifting the piece to, to post it elsewhere after, specially if the piece is very personalized/ customized/ tailored to them.

HOW DOES THIS WORK/HOW CAN I SIGN UP?

i’ll be using the secretsantaorganizer webpage that will send all the invites to the participants. You do not have to enter this page at all until you receive the invite.
on November 21st at 10PM AST (that’s 6PM PST and the following day at 6AM for GMT) the signing up will close and you will be receiving an email to the address you gave me. (check your spam boxes)
NO MORE ENTRIES AFTER THIS DATE. I’m sorry but it is impossible for me to add you after i sent the invites.
When you receive this email, go to the link in it. Who you’ll write for should be top left of your screen on this page.

you have until December 25th to write and post your piece. (I would recommend posting as close to this date as possible so we all kinda get our gifts around the same time)

THE WISHLIST PARAGRAPH
after much talk of this wishlist: here’s what should be there be it mandatory to make things easier for everyone, and other things that will serve as inspiration to whoever got your name.
WRITING A WISHLIST IS MANDATORY
HERE’S WHAT YOU MUST WRITE, NO IFS, BUTS OR MAYBES
specify if you’re okay with smut (as a writer if you’re not comfortable with writing smut, you do not have to write it. this is just so that whoever is writing knows if smut is accepted or not by the reader.)
do not even mention incest or pedophilia.
specify the preferred pairing (who you’d prefer to be paired with romantically or platonically for the fic: Example : steve rogers x me, platonic. Natasha x me, romantic)
specify if you’d rather your secret santa use ‘Y/N’ or your actual name. Say which name that would be.
specify the pronoun to use (he, she, them, etc)
specify sexual preference (if there is option for smut)
write a couple of lines (3-4) about yourself so that your secret santa can get a sense of who you are. Physical descriptors are needed if you want the fic to be super personalized. For example if you wear glasses, have long brown hair or 17 tattoos, say it.
Type of ending you prefer. (angsty, happy, etc) (writers; paying attention to this is slightly optional mwahahhaha)
Optional things to write, these can serve as inspiration for the writer.
Writers: these are meant to help, not box you in a specific time, space or category.
Genres of fic you like (AU, fluff, Supernatural settings, Boxer!, friends to lovers trope, etc)
scenarios you like (birthday parties, weddings, proposals, dances, christmas)
If there’s a phrase or sentence you’d like for someone to say or to be mentioned in some way.
Song that could inspire the writer, or better explain your dream scenario to them.
this being a secret santa does not mean the pieces have to be holiday themed.

tag the piece with #IBWsMarvelSecretSanta (tag anything related to this challenge with this please!)
use proper warnings for smut and other themes
