Hello everyone!  

Here is the link for a petition that a fan began to bring back our favorite show of all time on TV! 

So everybody, if you consider yourself a huge fan of QAF, and if you often find yourself dreaming of a sixth season or a movie (it would be amazing, right?? ^^), go sign the petition! Go, go, go! And spread the word around you! ‘Cause who knows? It could make a difference! At least, we have hope, and that’s everything! ;D

I chose to publish this only so that I could be a little bitch and argue against it properly. I've done it before and I'll do it again. If QAF were to be brought back it would be absolutely awful, in my opinion, and here's why I think so in quick bullet-point form because my biffle's laptop battery is crying out- 

~ The cast would never agree to it properly, I'm sure. Gale has almost definitely moved on and I doubt he would want to return to the role of Brian Kinney - it's such a solid role, and to go back into it would surely be like moving in with a really old high-school classmate you never really got on with too much. I think we'll all agree that Hal Sparks would never do it, and Randy has grown up too much, he has matured as a performer and couldn't be little 'Sunshine' again. Characters such as Harris Alan have altered and become whole new people since the show. If any of them were to agree to it it would not just be 'another job', because it never was that - it would be a huge life decision if they really were for it. Do we really want to drag them away from their current lives and force them into old, used characters just to fuel our girlfag desires? I know I don't.

~ The plotline would be empty. The only way shows like QAF could ever survive with any current network right now would be if they threw in a whole load of dramatic twists and a death now and then -and QAF has had all of that. It has run its course, and I think it's ridiculous for people not to accept that and give the five awesome seasons it had the respect they deserve. What could ever happen to our beloved group of boys and girls to make us keep loving them, but still keep us interested? Everyone obviously would want Brian to stay with Sunshine in NY, or for Sunshine to give up his dreams eventually and return to Pitts, but that would make a shitty storyline and the only people watching would be those interested in the gay sex - and I doubt the cast and crew would want to keep a show alive just on the sex as opposed to the storylines.

~ One of the reasons QAF was so powerful was because it really had not been done. Gay characters had been portrayed, sure, but not like this - not so honestly in some instances, not so deeply, and of course not so graphically. Gay sex had never been presented so vulnerably and openly alongside emotional issues of romance and hatred. But now? It's been done. Gay characters exist in almost all of our shows, because people are finally catching on and trying to instill into the ignorant minds all of the world the sheer normalcy of LGB/T relationships. I hate to say it, but QAF would not have an amazing amount to offer our current audiences in the way of true meaning. It would get bad ratings. It would flop. Why viciously insult the effort already put into the show by dragging it from the pink clouds it currently sits on just to watch it fall into the mud? A show cannot survive on a few thousand dedicated fans. Unfortunately.
