If only she knew him, she wouldnât be asking something like that. He was the type of guy who would like to go out late at night not alone though, he would always have his best friends with him, the bottle and the box of cigarettes, the best company he could ask for and he wasnât even bothered with the fact that he was alone. He liked it, more than he thought he would. He was sitting on the stairs of somebodyâs house, the empty and dark street was everything he needed right now and it was too quiet, too peaceful, too good to be true when that voice came through his thoughts. "What makes a girl like you think that itâs safe to walk by herself through a place like this and talk to someone that could probably be a really bad guy?"
"I don't." Soojung wasn't sure what made her stop, what made her decide to talk to a strange man resting on some sketchy looking stairs, but whatever it was also made her hands shake with an anxious feel. She held onto the strap of her bag tightly, almost like she was trying to convince herself she wasn't nervous or anxious or down right scared out of her mind because she had never taken this road home before and Naver Maps wouldn't let her change the route-- "I don't think it's safe. But I don't have anything to lose, so. Why not."Â
