Just in case you didn’t realise…I am lucky!

A wonderful quote of the day from Clapham North tube station…“A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and sings it back to you when you have forgotten how it goes”

The lovely necklace sums it up “lucky” and that’s how I feel for the support and love I have from my friends.

I stuck in the doldrums, the area of no or patchy wind near the equator, catching upon things and have started reading some of the cards that friends, family and colleagues have sent me over the last few months. They get stored in my “happy bag” which is a little dry bag full of notes to be read on bad days or in my case the too hot to sleep days!

There really is nothing better than getting into port and being handed a letter or parcel so a big thank you to the following people- Alice for the biscotti and hand cream, Katie for my Christmas stocking (it too me a moment to get the stocking bit!), Katie for the fake flowers that now decorate my cubbie (I read it as fake hoovered so was doubly pleased when I opened it), Mary for the wonderful fudge (I binge ate it in my bunk), Ruth for the beautiful necklace and other spoiling goodies (I can’t believe you managed to send that in the midst of babies), Sophie for your lovely letters and arrival emails, Alison for your emails and telling me to write larger, Sarah and First Steps nursery for their lovely drawings and my colleagues at WBA and Triin and Carolyn for keeping me stocked in skin care essentials.
