I looked up at him, unable to get up from the ground. The only thing I had energy for was to turn my head. Jaehyun laid next to me, his eyes closed. I wanted to get up. To wake him up. But I couldn’t. My body felt too heavy.

“Didn’t you just hear me? Die with honor, Mark,” he spoke once more. I refused to look at him. Not after what he’d done to me. He killed them all. He killed my friends. I couldn’t bear to look at him once more. “Got to hell,” I managed to spit out towards him. He seemed to growl, but it was quiet and I didn’t care enough to listen anyway.

And then I felt it. Through the exhaustion and the numbness I felt the pain. He’d kicked me, the pain exploding from my waist to my stomach. I couldn’t help but wince, doubling over as an instinct. “Look at me. I want you to look at me as you die,” he said, kicking me again.

I shut my eyes, waiting for it to end. And then finally, it did.

“Cut! Good work guys,” the director announced and the lights turned back on. I opened my eyes and looked towards Jaehyun. He was already on his feet, stretching out his arms. “C’mon guys. Let’s get something to drink,” he said as I got up. I looked towards Haechan, who was standing near us. 

“If we were ever really in this situation I’d kick your ass,” I told him and he chuckled. “I know. Did it hurt when I kicked you? I’m sorry. Got carried away,” he bowed his head slightly, his hands behind his back. “Nah. It’s fine. Don’t worry about it,” I patted his head and he smiled.
